The White Water Canoe Leader is designed to get you out leading paddlers on grade 2(3) rivers, so we'll be based in the Trossachs or Highland Perthshire for this formal British Canoeing training course. 

We'll examine everything from leadership philosophy and methodology to venue selection, risk management, and the other skills you need to manage a fleet of up to six canoes. Regarding equipment, we can help you outfit yourself with specialist bits, but you will need your paddling clothing. 

The Trossachs' focus on the journey makes this award perfect for those working in clubs, centres, and organisations. It also works well with a Paddlesport Instructor Award to increase your remit and lead fun journeys or as the first step towards your White Water Canoe Coach Award.
